This trip as a whole has been absolutely amazing. If you
read my speech from yesterday’s post, then you have more of an idea of what
closing thoughts I have as I fly home today.
I have been so blessed each step of the way by the people of
Clermont, and by people from all over the country back home. I would like to
thank Quay and Cindy Brashear and Athletes for Christ for paying for my flights
there and back. I would like to thank Pastor Tim Grandstaff and Thomas Road
Baptist Church for being willing to send me on their behalf. I would like to
thank Coach Alder for allowing me to go. I would like to thank my brothers from
both CVCA and Liberty for keeping me accountable to using this time to grow as
a Christian, as a man, and as a player. I would like to thank my professor Dr.
Kristen Hark for her continued support. I would like to thank everyone who sent
money to help support me. I would like to thank Pastor Ed Holland and Akron
Baptist Temple for their support and prayers. I would like to thank my parents
for letting me go, and for trusting me. And finally, I would like to thank my
sister for her prayers while I was gone.
I would also like to thank everyone who has followed this
blog at any point for sharing in my adventures. Although I am closing this
chapter, the process of growth that it has caused is just beginning.
