A Day In the Life:
Bible study last night with the other young adults was really great. We were in Luke 12 talking about the fact that “where your treasure is, there is your heart also.” One of the guys brought up that in truth, we own nothing. One of my favorite verses is James 1:17, which says that “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” If we really grasp this concept, it can change our whole worldview. Because if we no longer look at even material things as our own, then it is by definition the Owner’s decision as to how they are used. And I think He’s been pretty clear about what He wants us to do with His stuff.

Beauty (vol. 1)
A boy,
Gazing in utter awe at the beauty before him,
Fearful, yet thankful for the Maker of these woods.
His imagination whisks him away to a place filled with wonder;

Each flower seems to smile at him,
Clothed in attire unmatched in every way,
The trees seem to dance to the music of the songbird;
The blades of grass bow under the weight of his foot,
As he enjoys the dominion promised to him by his Father,
And admires the beauty set before him by his Creator.
